The Tale of the Tasty Tart
Time & Location
About the Event
Balance. A buttery, flakey crust, creamy sweet ricotta, bitter and fresh arugula and asparagus. This tart blends these flavors together into a perfect introduction to the magic of making your own tarts.
The technical focus of the class will be masting the art of making a homemade tart dough. The flakey consistency of the dough is very achievable, but takes the right touch to have it come out the way you want. Chef Sunshine has years of pastry experience, studying under the famous Will Goldfarb at Room for Dessert, and she is ready to pass that knowledge on to you!
Frequently Asked Questions:
So wait, how is this different from watching a tutorial video?
- Unlike other online cooking shows, Chibo classes are shot and streamed live. No cuts, no edits--you’re seeing the chef create their dish in real time so you can ask questions as you go.
Eek! A two-way stream? So they can see me and my kitchen?
- A: They can hear you (if you want), but they can’t see you. When you join the class your mic will be muted by default. You can speak up if you have a question or a really good joke, but don’t worry about fixing your hair or cleaning your kitchen for strangers before the show!
Sounds simple enough, but what do I have to do?
- Sign up for a class that you’d like to take, then we’ll send you the recipe and grocery list a few days before the show. All you need is to have your ingredients, your device, and yourself ready to go for class--you’ll do all the steps and prep along with the chef.
